From 2015-2018 I was the Director of Marketing for Breeza Industrial, an industrial manufacturing company in small-town Nebraska. They've been around for 25 years and had never done much marketing or advertising before I began.
As a marketing professional this was a dream come true. A successful company with no public persona? You mean, I get to design the whole thing myself? In the first three months I successfully renamed and re-branded the company, built and launched a new website, and started three new social media platforms. All new copy and photography on these sites helped bring in new business immediately, and raised awareness of our capabilities for existing customers.
I've also worked hard to build a web-presence that easily finds the customers who need our products. I didn't pay anyone for SEO help, and I didn't hire an advertising agency. I simply worked from our customer's vantage point and asked, "how would I find the product I need?"
